Maps have always been more than just tools for navigation – in the hands of governments, groups and individuals, maps can create and help control knowledge. Our Secret Maps exhibition traces the levels of power, coercion and secrecy that lie behind maps of all kinds.

In this Learning Facilitator-led workshop students will develop information literacy and critical thinking skills by exploring our maps collection in the exhibition space, considering maps from a global and personal perspective.
