About LGBT+ History Month Study Day

Four open books on display stands sit on a wooden table. Four people, whose upper bodies are out of shot, stand next to the table.

This LGBT+ History Month we invite secondary school students to join us at the Library for a day of exploring and celebrating the contributions of the LGBT+ community.

In the morning, students will discover and learn about historical figures with the opportunity to view rare and unique British Library archival material.

In the afternoon, students will be invited to respond to the collections and these histories through creative activities and workshops.

Please note:

  • group size: Maximum 20 students per school
  • session times: 10.00 – 14.30 (inclusive of a lunch break)

Booking is essential via the 'Book Now' button. Please email schools@bl.uk if you have questions or need help with the form.
