Whilst many of us spot the potential for a new product or a new piece of technology, the harsh realities of research and development, prototyping, manufacturing and distribution often mean that few of those ideas make it to market.

At this event, we will be talking to innovators who have already brought their products to market or who just have a “new idea” to discuss. Join us to learn about the journey, the problems to overcome and useful tips about bringing a new product to market.

The Inventors' Club is brought to you by the Business & IP Centre in collaboration with:

Bob Lindsey - Chartered Engineer with a wide experience of marketing and business management

Innovators who would like to present their idea should contact Bob Lindsey on blindsey@thamesproductions.co.uk

Mark Sheahan – Inventor and Entrepreneur

Richard Hicks – Product Designer and Entrepreneur

Speakers for Monday 29th June:

  1. Graham Wright, an experienced Builder and Entrepreneur is working on a project to improve safety when working from a ladder. Ladders are one of the most dangerous pieces of equipment and anything to improve safety will be welcome. He will present for feedback.

  2. Waliu Sanusi will explain why he needs something other than Amazon or e-bay on which to sell stuff!  Barry Freeder knows a lot about selling on Amazon (he’s shipped shedloads and has presented to us in 2025) . Barry will present on what it is like to sell on Amazon., how much it costs and some of the wrinkles. There is a lot to learn.
