A night of Music, Movement, Creativity and Connection for Young Adults

In-Bodied is a free immersive evening designed to help you slow down, reconnect and feel more present in a world that often leaves us overstimulated, overwhelmed and constantly switched on.
Created by the British Library Youth Collective, this unique event invites you to connect with yourself, your creativity and others through joyful movement workshops, live talks, zine making and live music.
Across the evening, you’ll move between a series of themed spaces:
Brain Space: Inspiring mini-talks exploring identity, wellbeing and self-discovery with Dr Vee and David Larbi
Pause, reflect and explore new ideas through a series of inspiring mini-talks from special guests, including author and spoken-word artist David Larbi, whose work explores identity, wellbeing and self-discovery, alongside Dr Vee, a Girls’ Education Activist and Young Leader at the United Nations.
Dr Vee will be speaking from 19.30 – 20.00
David Larbi will be speaking from 20.10 – 20.40.
Hands Space: Drop-in free zine making throughout the evening
Drop into our free creative making workshop running throughout the evening. Create your own zine, experiment with ideas and enjoy a relaxed space to express yourself through creativity. This session is led by Artizine.
Heart Space: Free joyful movement, breathwork and reflection workshops led by Move to Thrive
The Heart Space offers a gentle invitation to arrive, slow down, and reconnect with the body within the wider energy of In-Bodied. Take part in free workshops that combine joyful movement, breath and sensory awareness practices, facilitated by Move to Thrive.
This is a non-performative, inclusive space for rest, reflection and gentle movement. No prior experience is needed, and all bodies are welcome.

What to Expect from the Heart Space:
arrive, slow down and reconnect with the present moment
gentle guided movement sessions to release stress, soften tension and build body awareness
breath and sensory awareness practices to support grounding, presence and nervous system care
invitations to move, reflect and respond to simple prompts inspired by the body and the space around you
a welcoming, non-performative environment centred on rest, reflection and self-connection
Ears Space: DJ sets spanning house, amapiano and multi genre blends, and opportunities to connect and celebrate together

FAQs
Who is this event for?
In-Bodied is designed for young adults aged 18+ who are interested in creativity, culture, wellbeing, music and connecting with others in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
What can I expect?
The evening combines talks, creative making, movement activities and live DJ sets. Guests are welcome to move between spaces throughout the event and participate as much or as little as they like.
Do I need any experience to take part?
No experience is required. Whether you’re joining a movement session, creating a zine or attending a talk, all activities are designed to be accessible and beginner-friendly.
What should I wear?
Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable.
Is there an age restriction?
This event is strictly for attendees aged 18 and over.

About the British Library Youth Collective
The British Library Youth Collective is a group of young creatives aged 18 – 24 who work with the Library to shape events, content and opportunities for young people. In-Bodied has been conceived and programmed by Collective members.

David Larbi
David Larbi is a writer, creator and poet from London.

Through his experimentation with diverse platforms and forms of expression, he has built an online community of over 1 million people across social media platforms and a dedicated readership, all based on his explorations of introspection and emotional connection.
David’s first book Frequently Happy is a Sunday Times Bestseller, and was selected as a Waterstones Nonfiction Book of the Month in February 2026. He was also named Heathrow Airport’s first ever Poet-in-Residence in celebration of the airport’s 80th birthday this year. Superseding all is his deep love for words, and his desire for anyone who comes across his work to leave feeling better for it.
Dr Vee
Dr. Varaidzo (Vee) Kativhu is a Girls’ Education Activist and Young Leader at the United Nations.

She is also the Founder and Director of Empowered By Vee. An Oxford and Harvard alumna, she mobilises 500k+ followers to champion equitable access to education for girls and empower underrepresented young people worldwide.
Aditi Kaushiva
Aditi Kaushiva is a movement artist, creative health facilitator, and founder of Move to Thrive.

Through mindful movement, breathwork, and playful exploration, she creates inclusive spaces that support emotional wellbeing, embodied awareness, and creative expression. Trained in Bharatanatyam and contemporary movement practices, and informed by lived experience of burnout recovery, Aditi blends Indian movement traditions with somatic approaches to invite people into deeper connection with themselves and others.
Artizine
Ioana (Artizine) is an artist and educator whose practice explores zines as tools for self-archiving, storytelling, and creative expression.

Through participatory workshops, she encourages people to document their lived experiences and become active archivists of their own lives.
Drawing on collage, DIY publishing, and community-making practices, her work explores memory, identity, play, and the ways personal stories can be preserved through creative acts of publishing. Her work is rooted in the belief that everyday experiences, personal memories, and lived perspectives deserve to be documented, shared, and celebrated.
She has facilitated workshops for organisations including the Southbank Centre, Wellcome Collection, Hayward Gallery, King's College London and the Barbican Centre.
