About Family Workshop: ⁠I Am Me!

We're all wonderfully unique. What makes you special? Join author Lucy Tandon Copp and illustrators Emma Farrarons and Alex Barrow to share and celebrate all the big and tiny things that make up your character.

Join in with our storytelling, get creative by making your own witchling, and have fun with our interactive draw-along and sparkly stick-a-long! Then we'll finish with music, songs and a celebratory parade!

About the speakers

Lucy Tandon Copp is of Malaysian-Chinese and English heritage. Lucy's stories are bursting with heart and spread a message of inclusivity and empathy through lovable characters that everyone can relate to.

Emma Farrarons was born in Cebu, Philippines, and raised in Paris. She grew up immersed in books and drawing and now creates passionate illustrations full of imagination. My Hair is as Long as a River, written by Charlie Castle, is the story of a boy with long hair, discovering the power of who he is and can be.

Alex Barrow grew up in the suburbs of London to Filipino and English Parents. He illustrates the If I Had A... series of picture books written by Gabby Dawney and is a regular contributor and art director for popular children's magazine Okido. When he's not drawing, Alex plays accordion in his band Malphino.
