About The Michael Marks Awards for Poetry Pamphlets
The Michael Marks Awards for Poetry Pamphlets celebrate the publications that change poetry. Pamphlets are where acclaimed poets have freedom to experiment and where new writers emerge.
Join us to hear readings by the five poets shortlisted for The Michael Marks Award for Poetry Pamphlet 2026 (£5,000):
James Appleby, Spurious Language (Blue Diode press)
Rachel Cleverly, Prickle (flipped eye publishing)
Eve Ellis, Spit Valve (ignition press)
Hugh Foley, Recent Poems (The Fair Organ)
Hasti, Young, dumb and full of poems (Little Betty).
They will be joined by the winner of The Michael Marks Award for Environmental Poetry Pamphlet, whose name will be revealed on the night. We will also discover the Publisher and Illustration Award-winners and hear behind-the-scenes perspectives on their work.
The four publishers shortlisted this year are:
Out-Spoken Press
Black Sunflowers Poetry Press
Green Bottle Press
DIRT, imprint of Dialect Press.
