The influence of Colombian literature has reached around the world, from the recently-reissued ecocritical blueprint, La Voragine (The Vortex) by José Eustasio Rivera, through the magical realist years of Gabriel García Márquez all the way to Laura Restrepo, Pilar Quintana and Velia Vidal. This event brings together an expert panel to explore the depth, humour and originality of Colombia’s diverse literary legacy. It will feature readings and musical performance from AKOLÁ TAMBÓ, the bullerengue outfit bringing the hottest of Afro-Colombian beats.
