About Family Workshop: The Twirly Wiggly Story, Craft & Dance

Join us for a fun and interactive event celebrating the book The Twirly Wiggly Dance by author Farrah Riaz. Bring your little ones along for a session of storytelling, music and hands-on creativity. We’ll start by reading the story, followed by a 'Find the shoe' activity, before learning a super easy dance routine by quacking, flapping and wiggling! The session wraps up with creative crafting, where children can colour their own henna/mehndi design sheets or design a decorative mehndi plate.

She has always been a storyteller, first as a child playing with Barbies, then as an adult with The Sims. Creating characters in all sorts of narratives brings her a lot of joy. When she isn’t living in fantastical worlds or spending time with her loved ones, she works in Higher Education. Her debut picture book, The Twirly Wiggly Dance, came out in 2024 with Oxford University Press, illustrated by Navya Raju.
