About Bennie Kara explores representation in literary texts
In this session developed in collaboration with Lit in Colour, former senior leader, author and education consultant Bennie Kara will share some guiding principles for approaching racial representation and racist epithets featured in some literary texts.
There will also be opportunities for reflection and a short time to ask questions on the challenges of discussing race, racism and empire in your own school contexts.
After the event, you'll get access to our latest free online resource with reflection questions for teachers and activities for students.
