About The Queen of Crime: The Life and Legacy of Agatha Christie

Few writers have challenged the deductive skills of generations of readers like Agatha Christie. Beneath the genteel surfaces of country houses and elegant train compartments, she revealed that the greatest mysteries lie in human nature itself. While the year marks five decades since her passing, Christie’s stories continue to captivate, confound, and inspire and she will be the subject of a major British Library exhibition opening later this year. In a conversation with journalist and author Shrabani Basu, best-selling mystery writer Lucy Foley, author of the official Miss Marple sequels; CEO and Chairman of Agatha Christie Limited, James Prichard, and the British Library’s Lucy Rowland revisit the enigmatic writer’s legacy and how she remains the undisputed Queen of Crime.

The evening begins with words of welcome to JLF – the London edition of the world's largest book event, the Jaipur Literature Festival, which runs over the full weekend of Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 June. (Information and tickets for the Jaipur Literature Festival, London are available on our website).

The live streamed version of the event will begin at 18.10.
