About In the Heat Together: Couples in the Kitchen
From left to right: Itamar Srulovich and Sarit Packer, The Flygerians: Jess and Jo and Cyrus and Pervin Todiwala
For this session, we bring together celebrated chef‑couples and siblings: Itamar Srulovich and Sarit Packer, Cyrus and Pervin Todiwala and The Flygerians Jess and Jo in conversation about what it means to share both a kitchen and a life. Chaired by renowned psychotherapist Susie Orbach, they explore the psychology of collaboration under pressure, the unique dynamics of affection and rivalry, the balancing of creative vision with commercial survival, and the emotional labour required to keep relationships – and restaurants – thriving.
With candour and humour, the panel reflects on the stresses and pleasures of working in such close proximity, revealing how trust, communication and conflict shape their culinary and personal worlds. A rare glimpse into the intimate 'recipes' that sustain some of the most dynamic partnerships in food.
Part of the Food Season Big Weekend over Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 June. Take advantage of our In-Person Big Weekend Multi-Session Discounts by booking more than one session for the Big Weekend. You can find more information here.
